Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani Peruvian Muay Thai fighter and mixed martial artist who currently competing in the UFC flyweight division. Valentina Shevchenko who was a former UFC Flyweight titleholder, and UFC friend of hers is her younger sister. Antonina Shevchenko began her combat sporting career with a Muay Thai kickboxer. She made her debut in the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko took the title and defeated Suzane Miller in the finals by a unanimity. Antonina was awarded a medal of silver in 2007 followed by she also won a bronze medal in 2008, and a gold medal gold in the year 2011. She was also crowned IFMA World Amateur Muaythai Champion of 2016 by IFMA. Antonia began her professional career at the age of 2003. She won the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championships in 2012 and the Lion Fight Lightweight Championships 2016, and the WMC World Championships as well as the Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina was the last time she fought Isa Tidblad Keskikangas in The Phoenix Fighting Championship. The winner was by a unanimous decision. Antonina shevchenko won her first professional MMA fight in 2002 with Anara bayanova, who was fighting at the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan. She went 3-0, after winning in the second round TKO. The following two bouts came at WXF: X-Impact World Championships in 2003. Shevchenko had a brief time off from MMA and focused on her kickboxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 when she fought Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko defeated Anissa by a unanimous vote. She then went on to defeat Valerie Domergue during Phoenix FC 4. She quit the promotion and began Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina defeated Nievera by her striking skills that were superior in the final clinch through knees to the body. Antonina Shevchenko was awarded a UFC contract after the victory. Antonina was able to make her UFC debut during the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, in a fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modeafferi with the unanimous verdict. However, she then lost her subsequent bout due to the split decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from the defeat and beat Lucie Pudilova in the UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke submission and earned the prize of the night in the fight. Shevchenko won her first three fights but then lost them to Katlyn Cahookagian, Andrea Lee and Ariane Lipski. Antonina lost to Casey O'Neill by second-round TKO during UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
